The Growth Patterns of Chinese“Specialized and Sophisticated” Enterprises and Policy Advices for their Further Development
“Specialized and Sophisticated enterprises”(SSEs) refer to high-end, innovation-driven small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that showcase the potential for SMEs to achieve substantial success. These enterprises play a pivotal role in advancing new industrialization and fostering new productive forces. This research utilizes in-depth interviews, case studies, and participatory observation to analyze the unique characteristics, key growth factors, and evolutionary mechanisms of SSEs, with a focus on their development stages and growth models, in order to provide government departments with more targeted policy objectives and recommendations for policy optimization. Additionally, the research examines the management capabilities and models of SSEs, utilizing a paradox integration framework to explore the contradictions they face in their management processes. The findings will offer valuable insights to government agencies in defining selection criteria, developing nurturing strategies, and guiding SMEs along the SSE path.
