Investment Banking Analyst - Class of 2018

Description

Our Analyst Program offers a unique experience in Beijing. Analysts begin the program as generalists and have significant exposure to deal activity across industries in our key business areas. The culture of our Firm is one of partnership, passion, optimism and hard work.

Moelis & Company’s Analysts are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, motivation and analytical aptitude. The day-to-day responsibilities of an Analyst include: financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients.

All new full-time Analysts participate in a rigorous three-week training program that includes extensive accounting, financial modeling and valuation training.

Requirements

• Previous internship experience in investment banking or other relevant industries is preferred

• Fluency (written and spoken) in Mandarin and English

• Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines

• Proven team player with strong analytical and numerical skills

• Attentive to details and strong multi-tasking skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Summer Analyst

Description

Moelis & Company Summer Analysts are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, motivation and analytical aptitude. The day-to-day responsibilities of a Summer Analyst include: financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients.

Moelis & Company Summer Analysts participate in a 10-week summer internship. All Summer Analysts have educational and social events to help establish a better understanding of both the industry and the Firm. Moelis & Company’s Summer Analysts participate in a one-week training program that includes financial modeling and valuation training.

Requirements

• Fluency (written and spoken) in Mandarin and English

Off-cycle internship

Description

Our internship offers a unique investment banking experience in Beijing, China. Interns will function as generalists and have significant exposure to deal activity across industries in our key business areas. Our firm culture is one of partnership, passion, optimism and hard work.

Moelis & Company interns are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, motivation and analytical aptitude and work alongside with full-time analysts and associates. The day-to-day responsibilities of an intern include: financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients.

Moelis & Company will provide on the job training and organize social events to help interns establish a better understanding of both the investment banking industry and the firm. The internship will last 4-6 months depending on our business needs. Interns will be considered for full time positions upon completion of the internship.

Requirements

• Committed to work at least 4 days a week throughout the internship (may work on weekends as well)

• Fluency in English and Mandarin (prefer native speaker)

• Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines

• Proven team player with strong analytical and numerical skills

• Attentive to details and strong multi-tasking skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Basic understanding of financial modeling (DCF, LBO, accretion and dilution)
